Universal clamp meter with TRUE RMS function, with automatic and manual range. It allows to perform basic and advanced measurements of electrical quantities. Using the measuring clamps, you can measure both direct and alternating current in the range from 10 mA to 1000 A. The measurement is performed without the need to disconnect the circuit or disconnect it from the power source. The meter allows you to measure significantly higher current than conventional electrical meters. The test probe leads have silicone, flexible and high-temperature resistant insulation.

measurement accuracy of the YT-730933 meter for this range is: ±(2.5%+10), resolution 0.01 A
measurement error calculation formula: (measurement result x 2%) + 30 x resolution
calculations: (30 x 2.5%) + 10 x 0.01 = 0.75 + 0.1 = 0.85 A
Actual result taking into account the measurement error for the 30 A indication = 30 ± 0.85 A.

Built-in functions:
TRUE RMS - a meter with this function displays the true effective value of the alternating voltage or current. Unlike averaging meters, devices with TRUE RMS display the correct value not only for a sinusoidal waveform, but also for distorted sinusoidal waveforms, e.g. higher harmonics, or square or triangular waveforms. A mandatory function wherever there are switching power supplies, motor inverter drives, HVAC installations, etc. in the circuit.
NCV - non-contact detection of alternating voltage using the inductive method. The meter detects the presence of voltage in an insulated wire, it can also indicate the phase wire.
LINE - contact detection of alternating voltage, works like a traditional tester. After inserting the measuring probe into the hole in the socket, in the case of the presence of a phase, four lines will appear on the display, the signal diode will light up and an intermittent sound signal will be emitted.
AUTO - automatic adjustment of the measurement range. When measuring unknown values using a meter with manual range adjustment using the knob, measurements should be taken successively from the largest range to the most accurate. Otherwise, we risk damaging the device. However, in the case of a multimeter with the AUTO function, it is enough to take one measurement and the meter will automatically find the optimal range. The meter starts in AUTO mode by default.

Current intensity measurement using clamp meters is performed only and exclusively on a single core, a single wire. Fastening the clamps to a multi-core cable without isolating a single core will show an incorrect result or zero current flow
